Nokia Developer Suite (NDS)

Nokia provides their own developer suite for developing MIDlets. It is similar to the WTKs available from Sun, helping you build your MIDlet suites and emulating MIDlets. NDS 2.0 includes two emulators for series 40 and series 60 cell phones. The series 60 emulator has experimental support for the JABWT. It can be integrated with the JBuilder IDE during installation, enabling creation, building and emulation of MIDlets through JBuilder.

When looking for alternatives to do MIDlet/JABWT development I tested Bluetooth links with the series 60 emulator. The emulator had several severe bugs, the Bluetooth links did not work as they should. The emulator is released as a beta version 0.3 and needs some work before it can be used for development purposes. It may however become an alternative to the Rococo simulator at some point, which would be very nice since it's available free of charge.
